Adams had thought about that long ago for his rollfilm shots in California Parks (good old days !). Familiar with hassy backs, this stuff would look as a big rollfilm box fitting his 5"x7" Korona Graphic. A small company, Rollfilm Solutions, Inc. (Santa Rosa, CA), is now introducing a smart panoramic 120/220 film back with digital control. It was on display in a famous photo shop, downtown San Francisco, CA. A smart actuator allows an automatic film wind-on, thanks to a coaxial chord binding to a standard PC flash plug in front of a traditional Copal. How do you attach this back ? Simply by a traditional graflok latch. A manual switch allows both 120 (4 shots) or 220 (2x capacity) to suit most photographic jobs. Also a good opportunity for addicts of panoramic portraits.
