It is often the case that a modern, but second-hand, lens already in shutter can be purchased for less than the cost of remounting the process lens. But not always.
Jean-Claude, j'ai un Lomo RF-5 450/10. Double Gauss (!), not a bad lens, well-made, a little heavy. Yes, M72x1.0. The view through it seems a little darker than through my 420/9 and 480/9 Apo Nikkors (dialytes). I use it very little because its focal length is too close to 420 and 480 and because it is really too long. The lenses I use on my little 2x3 tandem rig are 305, 360, 420, 480. And the last two not very often, subjects that need them are rare. I use all of these lenses front-mounted on a #1. Front-mounting a process lens is sometimes costs less than a used modern lens in shutter.
But process lenses can be snares for the unwary.
