Michel, pardonnez mon anglais. A ce moment-ci, je ne puis pas expiquer-moi en francais.
I shoot a 12"/4 Taylor Hobson Telephoto on my 2x3 Speed Graphic. Not quite as big a lens as your monster. My lens, whose rear is larger than the lens board, is attached to the board by a stepped bushing. The front of the bushing screws into the back of the lens, the rear is smaller and passes through the lens board. A normal retaining ring holds the assembly to the board. I have a "crutch" that fits between the lens' barrel and the camera's bed; this supports the lens and keeps its weight from breaking the front standard. The front standard's throat is much smaller than the lens' rear element. Its vignettes the image, but it does not affect the lens' maximum aperture. In fact I lose the outer few mm of the image to vignetting at infinity, but this is caused by the fully compressed bellows, not by the front standard.
I believe that you can use your monster on a 4x5 Speed, but you will have to make an adapter/extension tube and a support.
Bonne chance,
Dan
