Once upon a time Yvon and I were both fixtures at the cafe La Fontaine on rue de Charonne in the Bastille (circa 1992-1995). I had the pleasure of taking lessons from him and developed some fantastic shots including those from Opera de la Bastille and also translated him the letters sent to him by another great photographer, Jan Saudek.
May his grand spirit now fly among the cliffs of St. Malo and Bretagne!

Yes me, the obnoxious blond American babysitter once of 75 rue du faubourg St. Antoine!
I met him at La Fontaine on rue de Charonne in the 11 eme. I had the pleasure of developing photos in his studio of the Opera de la Bastille and translating letters from Jan Saudek to him. He was a great friend. His spirit is now above the sea at St. Malo
