DG, pardonnez mon anglais.
We agree that in general GRIIs are not a good proposition. Even so, people buy them. Phillipe has several that he wants to sell. Although we think that buying one is silly, we can still help Phillipe decide whether his are worth the effort of trying to sell them.
We all know that a good used f/5.6 plasmat, or even an f/4.5 tessar, in shutter can be obtained for less than the cost of, say, the equivalent GRII plus a shutter, even used, and machining to put it in shutter.
My 210/9 GRII makes sense for me, probably for no one else, because: it cost me less than nothing (I bought two, sold one and ended up with more money than I had when I started); I already had a #1 shutter that I used for front mounting; Steve Grimes charged me only $US 75 for the adapter that holds the lens in front of the shutter; I shoot 2x3, 6x9 in metric, and don't need the coverage that front-mounting loses. I hope this information helps you understand why my GRII is not a financial disaster.
