Olivier,
I shoot closeup with Nikons and MicroNikkors, also with 2x3 Graphics and a variety of lenses. Flash illumination, usually.
For me the most important gain from shooting 2x3 closeup is that I can shoot at the same magnification as with 35 mm and get more in the frame. With 35 mm, even shooting TMX or KM, I have to choose between getting good detail in the main subject, e.g., a flower, and showing it in its setting. With2x3, I can get the good detail and the surroundings too.
For magnifications up to 1:1, your Apo-Sironar N should do very well mounted normally. I believe it is in a #0 shutter, if so switch the cells front to back when working above 1:1.
Macro work with a press, technical, or view camera is nearly impossible with mobile subjects. But with fixed ones no huge problem. The technique is exacting but simple.
I suggest that you buy a copy of Lester Lefkowitz' book The Manual of Closeup Photography. Available through on-line used book finding services such as abebooks.com, addall.com, amazon.com.
Good luck,
Dan
